Dallas, TX - Frustration mounts for Dallas homeowners amidst stalled short-term rental ban

• The City has tried to ban STRs, but the ban is in court. Residents who support the ban are complaining about STR “Party Houses.”

Pikes Peak, CO - Commissioners tackle short-term rentals

• The County says they are “just surveying” the residents, but their survey claims STRs are already illegal.

Lafayette, LA - Lafayette residents sue LCG over short-term rental ban

• Lawsuit from property owners challenges local ban on STRs.

Newman, GA - Ordinance regulating short-term rentals to head to Newnan City Council

• This city has never regulated STRs before. The ordinance will require permits and the STRs to pay the equivalent of a hotel occupancy tax.

West Fargo, ND - Change to short-term rental ordinance in West Fargo tabled, committee started to research the topic

• The city had been considering banning investor owned STRs, but will now study the issue after getting pushback from the STR community.

El Paso, TX - Doña Ana County to enforce short-term rental ordinances next month

• The County will require STRs to get a business license, proof of insurance, show a sire map, and notify neighbors of intent to operate an STR.
