Keep NBSTRA Strong: Renew or Join Now to Lock In Founding Member Pricing

NBSTRA Has Accomplished a Lot in Our First Year!

It has been just a little over a year since the Newport Beach Short-Term Rental Association launched, and in that short time, NBSTRA has already become an important voice for responsible short-term rental owners and managers in Newport Beach.

Together, we have helped organize the STR community, kept members informed about City actions, advocated for fair and practical rules, and made sure the perspective of responsible permit holders is part of the conversation. That work matters – and it is only becoming more important.

The City is taking a more aggressive approach to short-term rental oversight, including increased inspections, expanded enforcement activity, and continued threats that could put permits at risk. For owners and managers who follow the rules and care about being good neighbors, this is exactly why NBSTRA exists. We need a strong, organized, credible voice representing responsible STR operators in Newport Beach.

Lock In Founding Member Pricing by Joining or Renewing Before July 1

Some of our earliest members will begin receiving their first renewal notices in early May. When those notices arrive, we are asking every member to renew. Keeping our Alliance strong depends on members staying engaged, staying informed, and continuing to support the organization that is working on their behalf.

We also want members and potential members to know about an important upcoming pricing change. NBSTRA’s base membership for a single permit is currently $100. As of July 1, 2026, that base membership will increase to $125. However, anyone who is already a member or joins or renews by June 30, 2026, will keep the current $100 rate and lock in that Founding Member pricing for at least three years.

In addition, after July 1, 2026, NBSTRA’s monthly e-newsletter and breaking news alerts will be available only to members. These updates are one of the key ways we help owners and managers stay informed about City actions, policy changes, enforcement issues, and other developments that can affect their permits and properties.

Keep Our Industry Voice Strong By Joining or Renewing Now

Whether you are a current member coming up for renewal or a permit holder who has not yet joined, now is the time to act. Renewing or joining before June 30 helps protect your Founding Member pricing – and, more importantly, helps ensure NBSTRA has the strength in numbers we need to keep representing Newport Beach STR owners and managers effectively.

NBSTRA has accomplished a lot in our first year, but there is much more work ahead. The stronger our membership, the stronger our voice. Thank you to everyone who helped build this Alliance from the beginning – and thank you in advance for helping keep it strong for the work ahead.
