• NYC banned STRs, except for home-sharing, a couple of years ago. Now they are cracking down on STRs who claim they are home-sharing but are in fact renting guest-only.

North Richland Hills, TX - City to Host Town Hall Meeting on Short Term Rentals

• They city is inviting residents and STR owners to a meeting to discuss possible regulations.

Stowe, VT- In Stowe, short-term rentals are owned from afar

• Analysis shows that over 75% of the permits for the ski resort town are owned by people in the City.
