Meet the Team Helping NBSTRA Fight for Our Members

The founding vision of Aaron Batley, our Chairman, and the dues of our members, are being put to good use in advocating for STR owners and managers in Newport Beach.

Jeff Flint, a long time public affairs consultant with extensive experience in STR issues, is helping NBSTRA and our political and communications strategist as well as our Executive Director. Flint has worked on several efforts to protect the rights of STRs owners, including the successful fight to unban STRs in both South Lake Tahoe and Anaheim. He met Aaron at the VRMA conference and in follow up with Aaron, helped launch the Alliance.

Todd Priest has also joined the team as our direct lobbyist with the City. Mr. Priest is one of the top government relations professionals in Orange County and is himself a Newport Beach resident, living in Corona del Mar. Since joining the team on June 1, Todd has already met with three of the seven members of the City Council to advocate for our interests. He will be updating members on these conversations during our June Membership meeting.

Our team is working hard to ensure our members interests are represented well at City Hall, and that the value we bring as responsible owners and operators are communicated to the community.
